How to play
The beach
Walk with WASD or the arrow keys. Walk into the water at The Surf to fight waves.
You start with 20 health. On the beach you get back 1 health every second.
Heal Station: stand inside to shop. 1 doubles how fast you regen ($5, price doubles). 2 adds 10 max health ($15, price doubles).
Breath Shop: press E to add 5 seconds of breath. It costs 10 money, then 10 more each time.
Out of health = game over, unless you have an extra life. Your run ends and goes on the leaderboard.
Your 3 powers
J/1Strong move: 30 damage, no cooldown.
K/2Normal move: 20 damage, 50 second cooldown.
L/3Mega move: 120 damage, 2 minute cooldown.
Every 2 levels you can buy 1 of 3 new powers. It replaces the power in its slot. A new Normal move costs $5, Strong $10 and Mega $15, and that slot's price doubles every time you buy one.
Waves
Small and big waves always keep coming. Small: 27 health, 10 XP, 10 money. Big: 90 health, 30 money, 30 XP plus 30 more for every 10 levels you have.
Every 5 levels a Tidal wave comes: 270 health, 300 XP, 100 money.
At level 100 a Tsunami with 1200 health comes in. Beat it and you beat the game.
Every time you swim out you start back at the top. Every 3 levels the top is 1 foot deeper.
You need 10 XP for level 2, and each level after that needs 10 more. You only go up one level at a time: you have to fill each level's XP bar.
Waves get 10% tougher every level (and tougher the deeper you go).
Going deeper
After you beat a wave, press S/↓ to go 1 foot deeper, or don't. W/↑ takes you back up. Deeper waves are tougher but pay more money.
From 6 ft down you're underwater and can hold your breath for 10 seconds. After that you start losing health. Walk left to swim back to shore and breathe.
At 40 ft you reach the coral reef. Swim over food there to heal. Every reef wave has a 2% chance to bring a heart: grab it for an extra life.
The secret island
Some say there's an island nobody can see, and that the palm trees know how to find it… but you only get one chance per game.
Find it, then beat the tsunami, and you can cross to the island to fight the Killer Shark (3000 health). Kill it and you win.
Level up! Buy a new power
The new power replaces the one in the same slot. Press 123 or click.

Your run is saved in this browser, and the leaderboard updates as you level up. Ending the run submits your final result.
